Additionally, both graduate and undergraduate SLU students are eligible to live in Village Apartments.
Ignacio Hall

Robert May Hall
Ideal for graduate students who prefer independent living with the convenience of on-campus access. Features 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments.
Village Apartments
Perfect for graduate students who would prefer to live on the west side of campus. Each apartment has private bedrooms that share a living room, kitchen and laundry facilities.
2026-2027 Housing Selection
Graduate student housing contracts open Jan. 20, 2026, on eRezLife.
Returning graduate students currently living in graduate housing may participate in the Renew Your Apartment process. This option allows eligible students to select the same space for the upcoming academic year. To renew, at least one original occupant of the apartment must participate in the process. That student will be able to renew the apartment and may invite additional eligible roommates to fill the remaining spaces.
The Renew Your Apartment process is available to rising juniors, seniors and graduate students. To renew your apartment, complete your housing contract and the Renew Your Apartment form in eRezLife by Feb. 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Students who do not participate in this process will be assigned by the Assignments Team based on the preferences listed on their housing contract.
New graduate students will be assigned on-campus housing by the Assignments Team based on their housing preferences. New graduate housing assignments will be released between July 10–15.
Housing Contract
The Saint Louis University housing contract covers both the fall and spring semesters. This contract guarantees a space on campus, but does not designate a specific building, room type or roommate. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate the preferences listed on your housing contract; however, assignments are based on availability at the time of assignment.
Non-Residency-Required Contract Cancellation Timeline
Your housing agreement with SLU is a contract. While certain circumstances may qualify for a contract release, financial implications will apply, particularly if a request is made later in the contract period. Non-residency-required students may cancel their 2026-2027 housing contract for any reason between Jan. 20, 2026, and March 1, 2026. The cancellation fee during this timeframe will be $200.
Between March 2, 2026, and Aug. 13, 2026, contract cancellation will only be considered for approval in the following instances:
- Enrollment status change
- Internship or practicum
- Study abroad
- Financial hardship
Non-Residency-Required Cancellation Fee Structure
| Contract Cancellation Date | Cancellation Reason | Cancellation Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Jan. 20, 2026- March 1, 2026 | May cancel for any reason | $200 |

Please note that the contract cancellation date shall be either the date the request for contract cancellation is approved by Housing & Residence Life or the official checkout date, whichever is later. A decision on your contract release request will be communicated within five business days of submission. If students are not approved for contract release, they may choose to break their housing contract.
